ladyskydiver 0 #1 January 26, 2008 After 5 years of thinking about it, I did it. What's it you ask? It is getting my belly button pierced. Now...just need to get the bandage off and when it looks a little bit less red and "just pierced" looking, I'll post a pic....unless you end up being one of the ones that'll see it in person. skymama 37 #4 January 26, 2008 Cool! There have been a few threads on here concerning hints on how to take care of it. I had luck with spraying Bactine in it, although it brought tears to my eyes. I hope your's heals quickly, mine took about 6 months. I still have it though. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
iluvtofly 0 #5 January 26, 2008 That's great. I've been wanting to get another tattoo for a while. For me it's just a matter of getting the money for it.

BillyVance 34 #7 January 26, 2008 Cool... so are you going to put on a nice short cut blouse, school-girl mini-skirt, and your 5" heels when you take that picture? iluvtofly 0 #10 January 26, 2008 I had no choice really in getting my ears pierced. My Mom wanted it done very early on when I was still a baby. My Dad said we had to wait until I was old enough to ask for it. So when I was 2 years old a friend of the family taught me to say, "ears pierce please." So once that happened I got my ears pierced. ladyskydiver 0 #11 January 27, 2008 When I finally get it looking a bit more healed, I was figuring lingerie with my belly showing but if you'd prefer a "nice short cut blouse, school-girl mini-skirt, and your 5" heels," I'm sure I can manage that. ladyskydiver 0 #12 January 27, 2008 The healing sheet that I received from my piercer says: Clean it as the last thing done in the shower. Twice a day clean with a mild fragrance free soap such as antibacterial DIAL, PROVON, or SATIN. Rinse with warm water. Clean with either H2OCEAN, sterile saline, or sea salt. Rotate piercing 3-5 times after ensuring all "gunk" is removed from piercing. Rinse with a splash of fresh water, and then gently massage either pure emu oil or pure vitamin E oil around the area. It, also, suggests salt water soaks for about 5 minutes rinsed with a splash of fresh water. I'm planning on fully following the instructions so that I can (hopefully) avoid any infections.Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

aggie04 0 #14 January 27, 2008 Sea salt and the warmest water you can manage will be your best friend...no neosporin and no bactine!! It's a pain to soak it for 5 min twice a day but it will be well worth it!!
