(crossing fingers) .. and about jump school.. i'm actually one of the very few (prolly less than 100 coasties) that actually has jump wings. The only way to get them is if yougo exchange while you are in the coast guard, which only happens at the academy.. and i was lucky enough to go exchange to air force.. got my wings there, and since i was active duty coast guard when i did it, i get to wear th ewings on my uniform... unfortunately (and i think this is a crap rule), those that switch to the coast guard and earned their army or af wings while in that service are still unable to wear their wings on a coast guard uniform... though that debate is discussed every year at the uniform board.. hopefully one day it will change..
