Cajones 0 #208 April 6, 2003 Holy moley! I go away for a day, and come back to see Justin less than 60 points behind me! You should pass me sometime today. Great work Justin! 21 processors... Looks like someone got the green light to use the computers at work. While I was away working, I added it to another computer, myself. Now I've got it running on three computers! And as soon as I get my laptop back from Best Buy (which I've been without for over 2 months, now - bastards), I'll be throwing it on there. We are ranked team #203! Pretty damn sweet... Only 37 members!?!? I know nearly all of you who post here have a computer. It's not hard to join the team. Edit to add: Even Lew's mom is on the team (lewsmom on the board)! How cool is that? scottbre 0 #210 April 7, 2003 It would be interesting to see a graph showing the dz.com team rank. Because when I started doing it we were ranked somewhere around 500. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project

RichM 0 #213 April 7, 2003 Quote It would be interesting to see a graph showing the dz.com team rank. Because when I started doing it we were ranked somewhere around 500. I think it was pretty much vertical for the first week when we ranked about team 3,500, and dropping 50 places every few hours. Now we're dropping in 1s and 2s so I'd guess we'll plateau at about 170-180. UNLESS more people come on board. POST WHORES UNITE ON FOLDING!! jfields 0 #214 April 7, 2003 Quote Oh look! I found a home brew! I haven't gotten to jump in about a month, but I have made 15 gallons of beer.
Cajones 0 #215 April 7, 2003 Mmm... Beer... Justin blew past me like I expected he should. I hope this inspires some other people to join in for the cause. The team is up to #195. Justins folding farm should boost us up more than a few places. We still have Wendy out there not quite finished with her first unit, which will put us up to a 40-way! I think the 15 gallons of beer Justin made for us is not gonna' be enough! The laws of physics are strictly enforced.
jfields 0 #216 April 7, 2003 Quote Justin's folding farm should boost us up more than a few places. I've got access to them, so I might as well use them. And to chip in and add to what Cajones said, it is a good cause worthy of whatever hardware you have. My farm includes some PII 266s, 300s, 350s and 450s. So you can run folding without the latest and greatest computer. I'm sure some of you with access to just a few fast computers could pass my farm of dinosaurs. At least, until I bring in some new machines.
RichM 0 #217 April 8, 2003 Quote Quote Hahaha, built another box from bits and should soon overtake AndyMan for 5th Puleaze. I got WAY more where that came from.... Grr, everytime I get close you dump another couple of WUs in and pull away - how many completed WUs do you have stacked up just to tease me with I just overclocked that AMD over there from 1522MHz to 1743MHz, this AMD will be upped from its existing 1594MHz, and I have a heatsink coming which I think is all I need for another folding platform looking at my box of spares. I think might need help - mental help Rich M

Cajones 0 #220 April 8, 2003 Unless Andy gets some multiprocessor production servers dialed in, real soon - I don't forsee anyone sneaking up on you. But keep adding just the same. We'll be in the double digits team standings at this rate. Still watching for Wendy to show up on the board. If I could get my hands on her console for a few minutes, I could find out what's eating up those cycles... Ooo... Did I say that out loud? The laws of physics are strictly enforced.
