bigway 4 #1 February 6, 2008 Just a follow up from the last one. Here is another study that has just made news, again coming out of New Zealand. Shotgun 1 #2 February 6, 2008 It's not the weed causing gum disease. It's all the Twinkies and Taco Bell consumed during the munchies. And the fact that potheads are all too stoned to go to the dentist.

happythoughts 0 #6 February 7, 2008 That has been known for a long time. The studies published in the US have confirmed that the same problems exist, regardless of what you smoke. The periodontal problem is caused when the gums dry out. For cig smokers, it is called "dry mouth". MJ smokers call it "cotton mouth". Cig smokers need to heed that warning also. Years ago, the American Dental Assoc published a study that recommended that all smokers should drink liquids to keep their gums moist while smoking. Of course, MJ smokers drank more. "Dude... pass me another beer. We have to. The ADA says it is for health reasons."
