Lastchance 0 #27 February 5, 2008 So So sorry to hear that. My condolences. Sounds like she had a long run and seen alot of changes in her lifetime. I can't even fathom being 99 yrs old. I'll bet she had some incredible stories. Again I'm so sorry to hear this. My one remaining grandmother is 96. I think I'll give her a call. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands. ntrprnr 0 #28 February 5, 2008 Everyone, thank you. The good vibes expressed here by all of you mean more than you'll ever know. I showed them to both my parents, they were so grateful, as well. Thank you._______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."
sharimcm 0 #29 February 5, 2008 Sorry to hear that Peter... I went to the hospital today to visit my grandmother at lunch. I made sure to hug her and tell her that I loved her. When I got there, her eyes lit up and she said she wanted to thank me for saving her life. Apparently, she had been asking the nurses since she got there by ambulance last night if I had come by. I don't think I'm a hero by any means, but I did call 911 even after she told me she was feeling fine. I knew better than that. She had a mild stroke and will be in the hospital for the next few days. Again, my heart felt condolences go out to you. edited to add a pic of my 85-year old grandmother taken on Christmas... Snowwhite 0 #30 February 5, 2008 This year, Streaker and I officially became the grandparents in our family. Everyone else is gone. It's a sad day, and we will honor his parents by being as good to our kids and their spouses and children as Grandma and Grandpa were to us and ours. That way, they will live on forever! I wish nothing but fond memories for you and your family.skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
LisaM 0 #31 February 6, 2008 My last living Grandparent died 9 days before Christmas. He too was sick; but it was still sad to see him go. Sorry for your loss. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
