NWFlyer 2 #9 February 2, 2007 Here's a yummy and easy artichoke dip. In fact, I might bring this on Sunday. Ingredients: 8 ounces artichoke hearts 1 cup grated Parmesan Cheese 1/2 cup sour cream or plain yogurt 1/2 cup mayonnaise 8 ounces cream cheese 2 garlic cloves, minced or 2 tablespoons chopped garlic Directions: Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place all ingredients in food processor and puree until smooth. Place in 9 inch or 10-inch pie plate or decorative serving dish. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until lightly brown on top. May be served with crackers, bread, or tortilla chips."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. SpeedRacer 1 #11 February 2, 2007 My homebrew club is having a Superbowl party. It's like other superbowl parties, except there will be no Bud/Miller/coors products to be found. Instead there will be a few dozen different styles of craft-brewed beer. Who the fuck cares who wins the ball game anyway? tigra 0 #12 February 2, 2007 Its going to be so cold in Chicago on Sunday that I'm tempted to bust out the mulled wine I bought for last year's Christmas Eve party. I didn't serve it then because it was about 60 degrees outside and 80 inside!

jimmytavino 16 #19 February 3, 2007 QuoteHomemade pizza...New York Style....and beer. Yup we'll be making homemade Pizza also!!! Only I buy the dough ( rather than make it from scratch) at a local Authentic Italian- American Grocery Store... " Rubinos".... They have great dough and pizza sauce, pre-seasoned,,,, ( the key is to let the dough RISE for a few hours, before working it...) Then I can also get, 3 or 4 different cheeses, and fixings like Olives, green and black, mushrooms,,, peppers, sweet and hot, pepperoni, sliced nice and thin, and anchovies for the adventurous among us...while I'm at the store.... I'm figuring for 5 or six cookie sheets,,,, with a "make it yourself" approach,,, so each fan can have the style of pizza, of their choice.... kind of a "do it yourself " pizzaria !!!!! " Ittsa Peet- Zaa de minute, you poota you hand , inna to-a the Dough!!!!! " (poppie).... and a beer for those who choose only I like ice cold diet Pepsi, with My slice... Oh,,, and also a nice large bowl of salad, to share, and of course a pot of homemade Chili will be simmering on the stove..... chef Boy- Ar- Jmy
 ltdiver 3 #20 February 3, 2007 The (radio) survey said (this week) that the number one item served at a Superbowl party was guacamole!
