ACMESkydiver 0 #1 January 25, 2008 Hi everyone!! . I plan on getting in a hard workout after we get home from taking our boy to the doctor (see other thread which shall be posted momentarily) . I can't wait to wake up sore. How are y'all doing? MrFF I saw you're right back into it...hurloon you mentioned having about 25 pounds to go? Is that right? How are the miles going, Lisa? Krisanne? Lady? Tigra? Sunny? Yoga people? Runners? Lifters? Where ya at? ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
tigra 0 #2 January 25, 2008 My legs are still sore from Wednesday's workout. I did some cardio and upper body last night but I'll probably go straight home tonight and try to squeeze in at least one decent workout this weekend. I tend to be bad about that on the weekends. And so far this afternoon, I have stayed away from the Portillo's chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream my boss decided to treat us too. Wish me luck with that- I still have over an hour to go here! Good luck on getting that workout in...and avoiding the sweets. Oh that's sooooo difficult to do, but you can do it! Think of how many freaking hours on the elliptical it will take just to take those calories back off... selbbub78 0 #5 January 25, 2008 sigh... don't even ask me.... Last time i ran was last saturday when i was in PA. Of course, i've been active since then, just not running... Although i do have 2 soccer games tomorrow, plus bellydancing class. But still.... I'm trying to make myself get up early and exercise, but it's just hard to do... Plus right now, we just had a warm spell, followed by a cold front, making everything/everywhere icy... Not a good fit for running outside. I did buy a yoga mat, thinking/hoping that it'll help me start to do stretches in the morning. Sunday I'm either looking at going skiing, or perhaps biking, but i have to see how cold it really is as well. Now that i'm back home, i'll be better... I had this awful greasy pizza when I was at the airport on Wednesday, and ate snacks on the plane as well. This upcoming week, I WILL be running hopefully monday, tuesday and friday. Wednesday and Thursday I have curling, and perhaps i'll even get a jog in before my tournaments. I'm trying to find a time to start taking my bike out to do stuff too. A lot of people (believe it or not) bike up here in the winter... It'll work out, and i'm back on eating healthy again, so that's no problem! tigra 0 #7 January 25, 2008 I just pop in my headphones, listen to my music (loud) watch whatever is on the TV monitor in fornt of me and zone out. I'm building up great endurance on that machine! Now, if I could only tone up those abs and biceps and triceps........... Jaye- a better incentive would be to remind me how many planks and crunches I would need to do to work off that cake and ice cream ...................... selbbub78 0 #8 January 26, 2008 CRUNCHES for the abs.... works great after some time..... I need to make myself get up 1/2 hour early, so i can get a morning stretch in before work... I think that would set the day for me, and convince me that i should work out AFTER work as well!!! mnealtx 0 #13 January 26, 2008 Weight: 211 BF% 25.1 I've been having a LOT of trouble gauging how much effort I was using in the iso exercises, so I went yesterday and picked up a set of 5 lb dumbells. I was able to judge the effort a LOT easier this morning. I finished the workout, but I didn't have much left. Exercise: "Miracle 7" exercises, 1 x 15 Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. Oh honey I cannot do planks to save my life...they *almost* make me cry! I completely understand...Much better then...planks. How long are you gonna have to hold that to gain enough muscle to burn off the cake and ice cream!! (Have you gotten to muscle failure in planks? DSE 5 #21 January 26, 2008 Don't know BF, but weight has gone down to 193, started at 207. 30 mins at the gym 3 times a week, cut out cereal in the a.m. and eating a very small lunch and small dinner before 7, nothing but water after 7. Seems to be working, except I get really hungry around midnight, so should probably hit bed earlier? Thanks for the pushes.

Yup, having the weights helped a LOT - I was able to go at pretty much full tension (at least for my fitness level at the moment). The lil extra workout for the muscles from the weights didn't hurt any either!! I sent you a PM with some explanations of the exercises but we're having network glitches over here - let me know if you got it.Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. MrFreefall383 0 #23 January 26, 2008 Yeah, back into the swing of things. Call it a "three week injury simulation." Regardless, I'm hitting it just as hard, with only a little pain in my right shin, a little stiffness everywhere else, but that can be ignored. Coast Guard's not gonna know what the hell to do with me. Swam hard this morning, lots of front crawl without fins working on form and efficiency. It's working too, I'm consistently around 8 minutes for my first 500yd. Anaerobic conditioning still needs some work, and running needs to be back up to speed by the end of this coming week, but that won't be an issue. Will more than likely do some ab work later today, then take Sunday off, hitting it hard again for the rest of the week."If at first you don't succeed... well, so much for skydiving." - aviation cliche
