Armour666 0 #1 January 24, 2008 This is from a Local cemetary here in Toronto for preplanning a funeral. It tickes me off because most WUFFO's allready think it a dangerous thing not to atempt but to add an advertiement for preplaning a funeral I don't know.SO this one time at band camp..... waltappel 1 #7 January 24, 2008 QuoteWould you want it to be "Mainstream?" Yep, because it would bring a lot more money into the sport and more people to jump with! I remember when there was a "Die yuppie scum!" attitude among many jumpers in the sport around the time that jumping started becoming much less of a fringe sport. Those "yuppie scum" have brought a lot to the sport and everyone in it is better off. I think if skydiving were as popular as golf then it would be even better! JohnMitchell 16 #15 January 24, 2008 Shouldn't it be a baglock over his head, not an open chute? Or are the scissors a metaphor for the Grim Reaper?Skydiving has long had its bad reputation, sometimes a little deserved. I think the ad is funnier than those Red Bull "bounce" ads. sartre 0 #19 January 25, 2008 I can't see that add seriously swaying anyone's opinion one way or another in regards to the dangers of skydiving. And basically, it's not saying anything offensive. Just making the point that pre-planning is just that...pre-planning. You could die in your bed tonight and it would be too late. But if they showed a dead guy in the bed, you can bet a bunch of people would object to that!
