NWFlyer 2 #3 January 18, 2008 What are we doing? Making a list of all boogies that have ever happened anywhere ever? Or boogies that don't happen anymore?"There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke

Unstable 9 #11 January 18, 2008 I can remember a few good boogies unique to this part of the midwest that sadly have been discontinued... Mullins Boogie - Skydive Wichita - Sure, Mullins is still zipping around, but since skydive Wichita closed a few years back, it's never been the same. Hog roasts, back to back loads, helecopter jumps, good friends, this was a good one. Skyvan Boogie - Yeah, it took 40 minutes to 13,500, but since Harry Barr (Spelling?) sold his old dog of a skyvan, Nebraska Boogies have never been the same. We miss you, Harry. =========Shaun ==========

She did go to the last Solstice, Keys, and Dublin Boogie. She was at Family of Freaks last year, and that got swallowed up by SkyFest. Very often, someone would get the SCR the morning of the meet by getting thrown out base and caught by 7 others. Bill Newell was there to hand out #'s. It was a complete scrambles, often you wound up with 2 jumpers who just got their SCR's that way on the same team. Real Combat RW. At the '76 Scrambles, 2 jumpers on one team took the "Get in or go in" too seriously. They didn't get in and... That night we built a 76 person nude ground star dancing around a bunch of road flares.
