docdialtone 0 #1 January 12, 2008 Went to the RV show in San Antonio last weekend to "just look around". We ended up buying a 22' Jayco. We pick it up in 2 hours and then off to Guadalupe River State Park to break it in properly!!!!
jonstark 8 #2 January 12, 2008 Think of it as a Swiss Army Knife on wheels. Be aware of the weight that you add by putting everything you own on board. You don't need to carry the desert camping gear when you're headed to the lake. Make tubs of dedicated equipment to put on when the need arises. RVs can carry so much stuff they'll get really heavy on ya. Enjoy! (Put your shit back where it came from too. It's the only way to make RV-ing work.) We were looking at mountain homes for the wknd and ended up with a camper instead. Got far more enjoyment out of it in my opinion. It's gone now and my son is still pissed at me for getting rid of it. jon
ACMESkydiver 0 #3 January 12, 2008 Congratulations! Some day we're going to have an RV for us & the kids. Let us know how that works out for you. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
