kelpdiver 2 #6 January 7, 2008 Regardless of the opponent, I'd pick against the Buckeyes until they prove themselves otherwise. OSU is there by attrition - all the more worthy teams blew up along the way while they survived their schedule in a clear down year for the Big 10. Their scheduling method of finishing early in November also seems to work against them a week into January. I do predict a boring game, since neither team is known for offense. BillyVance 34 #7 January 7, 2008 Quote neither team is known for offense. You would be wrong. Look here: http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/sortableStatsTeam?div=CFB&stype=OFFENSE&stable=overall&stat=overallPtsGm&dir=descending LSU is ranked #7th in the nation in scoring offense at 38.7 points per game and OSU is within sight at 32 points per game. However, they're both also ranked high in scoring defense: http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/sortableStatsTeam?div=CFB&stype=DEFENSE&stable=overall&stat=overallPtsGm&dir=ascending Ohio State is #1 at 10.7/game and LSU is a respectable 19.6/game despite a late season decline in defensive prowess due to injuries."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
Halfpastniner 0 #8 January 7, 2008 The thing I hate the most is that this is basically a home game for LSU....i know it wasnt planned out like that but it still seems unfair. Imigine what people would say if the game was in clevelandBASE 1384

Freefly710 0 #10 January 7, 2008 im a mississippi state fan, but being raised in alabama i also have a thing for the crimson tide, but i will pull for any SEC team that plays in the championship. i hate OSU. i would love to see them fall to 0-9 vs. SEC teams in bowl games. just goes to show how strong the SEC is....but maybe im a little biased... I think only one AP poll voter picked Alabama to win and everybody called him an idiot. Yeah, Alabama STOMPED Miami 34-13 and didn't allow an offensive TD by them.
