From what I remember, yes, yes she is!

On the pencil pack issue, when your rigger believes the US should follow the lead of pretty much the rest of the world and asks you what YOU would like for a repack cycle, what would you do? In fact, my rigger and I both would love to see a yearly repack, with sheduled inspection intervals during the year.

So I guess that would mean yes, my reserve has been "pencil packed," but that signature coincides with a rigger's log.

A friend of mine supposedly had a rigger that was so competent, he kept packing his reserve 3 years after [the rigger's] death...

This was back in the 70's, if I remember the story correctly.

i do!

when a friend was in the navy, he did a 5 month cruise around south america. he got his reserve repacked before leaving, and then pencil-packed it 120 days into the cruise just in case he was able to get to a dz. he ended up not making it to a dz and then got his reserves repacked immediately when he got back to the states.

i know people who have, but i don't have the guts to do something like that... it doesn't make me feel right
