Oh, I know they are around, I just was surprised people who jumped them still were. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

georgerussia 0 #53 April 24, 2006 Quote I have had the pleasure of jumping both the D5 and D6 in Russia on several different occasions, usually with the "freefall drogue" system. I prefer the D6, of course, but both are fun to jump. Yeah, they are. The funniest thing I had with D-5 was 30-sec "freefall" (under stabilization chute, of course). Which was actually very boring thing - but all you have to do was to count seconds anyway. However, as with all rounds, D-5 landing accuracy really sucks. On our DZ someone landed on trees almost every two weeks.* Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

ripcord4 0 #57 April 25, 2006 QuoteQuoteI still jump the old chest mount reserves with my round occasionally. Why? Because the FAA requires it to be worn. I jump a SET-10 twice every month with my re-enactment group as well as my trusty Para Commander occasionally. It's fun and not the "death rig' that everyone thinks a round is. I've hurt myself worse under my square more than I ever did with a round.
