JumpinJules 0 #1 December 20, 2007 Learn how to ride a motorcycle!!! Anyone know if I could expect to find a reliable cruiser for under $1000? I've only been on a bike once.... (at the dropzone.. surprise surprise!) but I've been thinking about it and I really want to learn how to ride... it would definately save on the gas for the nearly 2 hour ride to the dropzone this summer!Into the great wide open/ under them skies of blue/ out in the great wide open/ a rebel w/out a clue..... chaoskitty 0 #7 December 20, 2007 I would love to take up riding a bike, as well as SCUBA, and of course I want to see the world! .. then I look at my bank account. Hopefully I have a lot longer to live and do everything I want, AND keep skydiving.

BillyVance 34 #11 December 20, 2007 Get a cheap used bike to learn on. What would that cost? I dunno, maybe $150? Then when you get the hang of things, go for a better ride at $900 or whatever. You wouldn't want to spend that much money and then wreck it on the first day. wildfan75 1 #13 December 20, 2007 Ask Todd if you can have his motorcycle. Not sure how much work it needs or if its too much bike but I'm sure Bob would love to get it out of the far hanger. And not that it should matter, but how does Nick feel about his hot gf hopping on a motorcycle to go skydiving???? Hmmm...??? And you know there's a way to get a motorcycle for free? Its the same way you can pay your jump bill. Do Bob.
JumpinJules 0 #14 December 20, 2007 Aww Lynn... I can always count on you for a good laugh #1.) You should convince Todd that he should teach me how to ride a bike once it gets warm out and we're on wind hold or something #2.) If Nick hasn't figured out by now that I make my own decisions then we've got problems! #3.) Do you think I could get the bike and a paid off jump bill in one "bang" ? #4.) I'm going nuts not jumping... I hope it's good weather next weekend. #5.) Let's get shitty on Saturday night! wildfan75 1 #18 December 20, 2007 1) I'm not sure that Todd is the one you want to have teach you to ride a bike. Its kind of like asking him how to land a manta and he starts off with, "Landing into the wind is for pussies. You'll get much more forward drive if you land downwind." 2) He knows. I made sure he knew that at P-Toss before I grabbed his man handle and told him to shake it for testicular cancer. (And even better than all the "Shake It For Testicular Cancer" screening was the fact that he kept screaming, "Stop it! I'm wearing tight pants!") 3) Depends on how bendy you are. 4) With the weather report looking like it does for this weekend, we'd better have good weather for New Year's weekend! 5) Mmmm.....OKAY!
