April 2006 Type Approval Holder’s Name : Parachutes de France Type/Model designation(s) : Techno 240-B ETSO Number : DGAC France F.O.095 ATA 25 Equipment – Temporary grounding of reserve parachute Applicability: Techno 240-B, P/N: R 01-240-B – All serial numbers – Reserve Parachute Reason: A slow deployment of the reserve canopy TECHNO 240-B has been determined. It has been determined that the allowable opening altitude loss / opening time is not met. The proposed solution of Parachutes de France Safety Bulletin BSC_06_002, dated 21.04.2006 is not accepted by EASA to provide an equivalent level of safety. As a consequence the unit may not act as a safety device. Effective Date: 28.
