You can do almost anything if you throw enough money at it.

That said . . . I can immediately think of one instance where this mod would be a death sentence . . . car driven into water.

I'm not sure I follow your reasoning.

In general, you can't open the doors of a submerged car, so you need to crank down the windows. But if they are electric, you must break them. So how is this different?

And, seeing as the door does come with a manual over ride, that would make it probably 100x easier to open underwater than a conventional door because the door itself is sliding along the car as opposed to pushing out from it. That said, I see absolutely no flaws in this design. Freakin' brilliant.

So the door slides down underneath the car.

That means that there is very little ground clearance remaining with the door under there.

So what happens when you park straddling a speed bump, and try and open the door? Does it wreck your door dragging it across the speed bump?
