DSE 5 #1 December 9, 2007 Read the story Can't say I'm surprised, and definitely not disappointed. The two stores I've dealt with have left a lot to be desired.

riddler 0 #4 December 9, 2007 For years, the closest one to me was right next to a Best Buy. I would go in there once or twice a year to get my father a gift certificate, or to look at Mac stuff - they usually had about 1/5 the number of people as at the Best Buy, despite being the same size. I'm surprised that one store lasted so long, but not surprised the entire operation is liquidating.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD
RALFFERS 0 #5 December 9, 2007 They were way overpriced anyway - wont be missed in my book. As for people looking for mac products, hopefully you have or will have a Micro Center nearby. From prices, to service to the return policy (90 days) they rock. jimmytavino 16 #6 December 9, 2007 yes,,, but if the items left to be sold off, are from good quality manufacturers,,, AND if a "distressed sale" price can be had>>>> Isn't this Maybe ??? a good buying opportunity??? I wonder if after the sale warranty coverage etc will be honored???.. I've been watching the emergence of an HP photo printer which will allow you to burn photo cds direct from card slots,,, in addition to making photos It's model HP C8180 and is advertised to have "LightScribe CD/DVD burner" 359 dollars at Office max... Was just looking through the sunday newspaper circulars,,, including CompUSA's ... no mention made YET.... about any clearance sales.. Thanks for the 'heads-up" DSE.. j t . chrismgtis 0 #8 December 10, 2007 The prices are why I didn't shop there. I purchased my current LCD monitor from them (a 19" Viewsonic), because they had a decent price for that, but that is the only time I've ever purchased anything from there due to the higher prices. If you're hoping there is a local Mac shop/store nearby, you are almost just as likely to find a Lamborghini dealer within 3000 miles. Just messing with you Mac guys.
