flygirl1 0 #1 November 26, 2007 I've been wanting to get a new digital camera for a while now. I decided to get one today because of all the online sales. I just have no idea what to get. There are so many to chose from. It has to be some what user friendly cause I'm not that tech savy. It will be just for personal use and doesn't need to be too fancy but, I'd still like good quality pictures. I would prefer the ones that can take AA batteries cause I was bummed when my battery charger broke in Europe last summer. I'm looking for one 300$ or less, preferably less. Got any suggestions?Fly like a girl

davedlg 0 #3 November 26, 2007 A number of my friends bought a 7.1 megapixel, waterproof olympus stylus 720. It takes great pictures and is completely waterproof. I really like it and it is what I would buy if I were in the market for a camera right now.

Nightingale 0 #6 November 26, 2007 You can't go wrong with a panasonic Lumix FZ5. It's around $300, and it's got a 12x optical zoom, gyrostabilization so you can actually use that zoom, and a great Leica lens. It's small enough to fit in a coat pocket. I love my camera!
