Guitar Hero III

Will someone PLEASE for the love come and take this game away from me. Im addicted! :D

My son in law got this game last weekend. He is a drummer, and the cues really are something he is cued into. He brought it over last night, and my son and I (both real guitar players) were laughed off stage, so my son went and got one of his guitars and while my son in law played GH, my son jammed to the music. I see a neat new bar game coming that will beat the hell out of Karaoke!

However, we did decide that real guitar players will struggle with GH because you want to play real notes, that aren't there.

While two totally different things (guitar hero and a real guitar), playing on expert forces the player to play every note in the song.

I play with some real guitarists who love the game. The think some songs are on GH because of the limited fret board :)

I'm so addicted to this game:D Brian bought it for us last week (right after he saw it on South Park:P) so we could have something to do while we are broken. He is actually sitting next to me right now playing Guitar Hero II which we got last night. He is playing on career mode unlocking more songs for us to play on co-op mode. He beat III and rock the 80's on medium solo and him and I beat them on easy co-op and easy and solo. I'm still working on medium and he is working on Hard. I feel like such a nerd now:D:D

Correct - Rockband is all the instruments. You can also play as a band online with each person playing their instrument of choice along with their difficulty of choice.

Right now I have 2 songs left to do on the hard drum career (Iron Maiden and The Who). So far I've been playing expert online and like it more than hard (you have to play all the strikes).

So far, the drum kit is the most authentic. If you can play on expert, you can play on a real kit. Things differ of course (pad bounce back and drum head locations) but the rhythm structures are spot on.

If anyone wants to play, shoot me a friend request on XBL and we'll go from there. Gamertag:

I don't like that game for the sole reason that I play guitar and can play many of the songs on the game, yet I get my ass whooped every time I play the actual game. It's like learning guitar all over again.

I suck at guitar hero:|>:(:$:D

Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.

hey ian, i couldnt accecpt your invite on saturday as i was playing with the full band already. had the family over and everyone loved it!

my brother is a drummer so he was playing on expert and rocking it!

then the singer was actually a real singer so he was also rocking it..the bassist was his first time playing and he kinda sucked on easy

i was on hard with the lead guitar and doing very well. rock band is not nearly as hard as GH3

No worries Agent. I had a similar issue - my girlfriend and her parents were playing in the band with me this week too :)

I just finished the hard tour on drums and have been playing most of the songs on expert so far online - 5 starring expert on drums for the first 2 tiers - haven't gone past that, but it's not hard if you can play on a kit already. Last I checked I was 47 on the leaderboard for Green Grass and High Tide :)
That said, Run to the hills is a PAIN IN THE ASS. You have to be really fast and accurate on that one - it's the only one that gave me any significant trouble.

See you online!
