Armour666 0 #1 November 21, 2007 So found out I got another contract for a company that really excited to work for and another day I get to spend time with my boys but I feel I want to lash out. also today Cpl. Nicolas Raymond Beauchamp, 28, of the 5th Field Ambulance, and Pte. Michel Lévesque, 25, of the Royal 22nd Regiment came home today. They landed in Trenton and were take in motorcade along Highway 401 recently renamed the Highway of Heroes to the coroner’s office. Along the over passes on the route from Trenton to downtown Toronto as has been done in the past for each returning soldier Police Ambulances and fire trucks with lights flashing marked their presence out of respect. I live 5 minuet walk from the Highway and was their again for today’s motorcade I had taken my son with me and as we waited one of the lane were blocked on the bridge with the police fire and ambulance this slowed some traffic but not that much really for the area. Then one person to really brought my day down for me. As he was delayed at a light and having to merge due to the blocked lane he rolls down his window and ask what the hell is taking so long and why is every one just standing around they should be busy moving to clear this mess look at the traffic delays. A cop tells him why they are here and there is not that much delay and he should just move along. It was his comment that hit like a sucker punch. “Who gives a fuck their dead I’m sitting in traffic for this?” It pissed me off to no end that some one could be as callous that that an extra 3-5 min in traffic was bad enough for someone behave like that it really brought me down especially having lost friends in Afghanistan, seeing other come back and their not the same person that left, it really hit home when my son who is 7 and autistic could se that behavior was not acceptable and commented that that was a mean thing to say. Nine days after Remembrance Day and two more troops coming home that won’t be going home to their families and people have already forgotten or really never cared. They are pissed at traffic delays, Passing the motorcade as just another big incontinences to their way to where ever they are going. Lest We Forget For some one some where every day is Remembrance day and they deserver our respect always not just once a year. SO this one time at band camp..... Para_Frog 1 #2 November 21, 2007 Sorry about another black day for you mate. I find that a correctly applied level of violence and humiliation on the offender makes me smile. But I feel you. The fight is for freedom...even the freedom to be a worthless piece of shit without any redress. BillyVance 34 #3 November 21, 2007 That was one douche bag... I might have sucker-punched him if there were no witnesses and he didn't know me. He probly parks at the commuter parking lit 5 min down the road and takes the train down town. I take the train as well and thought I’d take my passload cordless nailer in my trunk and if I see his car in the parking lot would leave a gental remind on is car with a dozen or so poppies nailed to it.SO this one time at band camp.....
