Beautiful, are you oging to have them stuffed????

LOL My dad has about 4 or 5 stuffed around his place. When I went to visit (with my cat), my cat was going nuts over the birds - was attacking them left and right. My dad wasn't too pleased considering how much he spent to have them stuffed!!!! :D:D I was so proud of my lil hunter!!! >:(

I'm not going to have them stuffed although I do skin them completely out and give the hides to a neighbor lady that makes pheasant feather flowers. They are very pretty looking arrangements and she does a great job. Our lil hunter likes to attack the hides as well and it is fun to watch her pounce on them and attack. :)

Mmmm yummy pheasant! Those are very pretty birds... and one of my favorite game meats!!! Way to go!

My wife also enjoys pheasant more than any other animal that I hunt. She makes some tasty dishes with those little birdies. Fortunately I live in a place where it is easy to get more items for the menu.:D

Ah that brings back some happy memories....

When I was about 13/14 we lived next to an estate on which were four shooting syndicates. Pheasants were bred at the top of the estate and driven through come the season. Soooo, deciding I needed a few quid, I used to nip up to the pens, just before the season started, in the dead of night, wring a few necks and sell a couple of brace for a few quid. The buyers loved them - nice young birds, no shot...

God forgive me! :$

That was a great story and it brings back memories for me as well. I used to have a golden retriever that could catch pheasants during the hunt. Of course he couldn't seem to tell the difference between a cock and a hen. However, it was fun to watch him flush the birds. He would try and hold them down with his front paws or they would flush. Those birds never had any buck shot in them either.

He always looked at me like what an idiot when I would let the hens go and they would fly away. :)
I hope I could you in a happy mood swing :D:D
