Twoply 0 #1 November 15, 2007 If you're a standard comedian, is it any indicaction of intelligence? I've met several comedians and they all seem very intelligent if not just very perceptive of the world around them. Comments?

1969912 0 #4 November 15, 2007 There is likely a positive correlation between intelligence and success in show business, including comedy. happythoughts 0 #5 November 15, 2007 I would say that it takes a certain amount of ambition and perseverance to become famous. Intelligence, communication skills, drive, follow-through. Repeated shameless self-promotion and the ability to brush off rejection. There are a lot of intelligent comedians that you never heard of because they gave up. Probably a few that became writers because they lack the rapid-fire response, but have great material.
