BirdWoman 0 #1 November 1, 2007 I hate it when young teens come trick or treating and they don't even have a costume on! And then, when you ask them what they're supposed to be, they just giggle! peckerhead 0 #5 November 1, 2007 My oldest boy told me this year he was old enough to go trick or treating by himself. I told him if he was old enough to trick or treat by himself then he was to old for trick or treating.

jtval 0 #7 November 1, 2007 I gave one kid one, a group of eight, candy. He had on a tshirt but he was like 10-12 years old and with a group of eight so I just let him have candy. My dog is going nuts. he always barks when the door bell is rung. but I have him sit and I open the door. when he sees a bunch of ghouls he goes crazy, growling, barking hten whimpering when I tell him to sit. He doesn't understand but I praise him for "protecting me." LOL its funnyMy photos My Videos
skymama 37 #8 November 1, 2007 I was just talking about this to my son! He's 16, but at least he and his friends dressed up in togas when they went out for candy. Three overweight teens who really did not need candy showed up dressed in their street clothes. I asked what they were, and they mumbled something I couldn't understand. One girl made a face at one of the smaller candy bars that I gave her. I held my hand out and said, "if you have a problem with it, give it back to me." She told me it was fine and they walked off. It was irritating to me, but like someone else said, I didn't want them doing anything to my house. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
airtwardo 7 #9 November 1, 2007 Had one group show up, kids about 15-16...had to give 'em credit the costumes were 'Hollywood' funny! One had a bandoleer with fake hypo needs in it...Robert Downey Jr. A bald Brittney with 2 fake kids smoking cigarettes. A Jay Leno that LOOKED LIKE JAY LENO! A bunch of rock stars I don't know. Gave 'em all double handfuls for the effort! ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~

tbrown 26 #15 November 1, 2007 Aside from not wanting to get the front of the house egged, it's only once a year. The spirit of giving out candy is to give out candy. Yeah, I'd rather give it to kids in costumes, especially the little shavers who need some agging on by their parents to step up to the door. But my light is on, I'm giving away candy and I'll give it away to anyone who knocks. Because it's Halloween. Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity ! JohnMitchell 16 #17 November 1, 2007 Hell, I'll give out candy to teenagers. All the ones tonight said "thanks." That's the important part. My 17 YO daughter went out trick-or-treating with some friends for half an hour. I hope they were treated politely. Halloween is all about fun and candy. Hell, I wish I could still go trick-or-treating.
IanHarrop 41 #18 November 1, 2007 I had 93 kids come to the door tonight... slow year... sometimes in the past I had over 200. A few, very few, of the kids were not dressed up. They were polite and said Thank You when I put stuff in their bags. I don't know why they didn't dress up. Perhaps they are lazy or perhaps there are issues at home that make getting into costume difficult. Perhaps their parents are abusive or just assholes... I hope not, I hope the kids are just lazy but on the off chance... I figure that a candy that cost me about 10 cents is a small price to pay."Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy
