jtval 0 #1 June 16, 2003 Ok I guess this will be directed more toward the HIGH number jumpers. I hope EVERYONE will feel free to answer it. I've been to a few DZ's in my short jumping carreer. Ive heard alot of UPPER jumpers say they dont bother with log books anymore. (my 1st was my AFF inst. who in 1999 had 14,000 jumps) I keep all kindsa silly things in my logbook and with only 250 or so jumps I need to keep track so I can get my #'s for my ratings! my theory is I'm paying(jump ticket) for the privledge to have someone sign my booK! LOL I dont know if I would ever STOP keeping a log book! whats your take on this? do you or dont you keep a log?My photos My Videos
Genn 0 #2 June 16, 2003 As time passed, I got lazy...I don't 'really' log....I just get a printout from manifest at the end of the year to know how many jumps I did/have.
jtval 0 #3 June 16, 2003 does that cuase a problem when you try to jump at a new dz? as far as not having a recnet signature etc. or do you have someone sign you book before you travel? My photos My Videos
Genn 0 #4 June 16, 2003 I never had a problem w/ other DZs. To be honest, most didn't even look after they knew I had a D and I'm a current member. My X had a problem once...but he just had manifest fax over a log of the month to show he was current. No big deal so far.

dkpbxman 0 #6 June 16, 2003 Don't bother getting them signed anymore (probably stopped around 500) but still log them all for my benefit.
 wmw999 2,452 #7 June 16, 2003 I still log them. I get them signed a lot of the time, too. It's for me.
