Mouse Question

Recommended Posts

As in Computer mouse...

I have a number of mice in my house. Right now I have a logitech wireless Mediaplay mouse and a MX laser Bluetooth mouse attached...

I was thinking that it might be neat to have multiple pointers and have each mouse control an independent pointer. (within the same operating space)

Is there anything out there that would allow this? and if there isn't do you think there would be enough of a market for something like this this to create a method to do it... (something that someone else would have to do as I don't have the skill to do that sort of thing myself... :$)

Ambidextrous, are you?

You never did teach me how to juggle.>:(

I had a love/hate relationship with my Logitech...great to use, eats batteries.
:)

My reality and yours are quite different.

I am actually... :$

oh, and I'm still happy to teach you to juggle... (though I had completely forgotten that I had said I would... :$)

My bluetooth wireless mouse has a rechargeable Li Ion battery in it... (the keyboard that is mated with the mouse uses 4 AA batteries and I rotate between a two sets of 4 rechargeable energizers... I have to swap them out about once every month and a half...) :)

But going beyond the 'cool' factor.....do you really click that much that one pointer wont cut it? :o

and what's so wrong with the "cool" factor... mostly I just sort of think it would be kind of neat... but I can see how in certain situations like having multiple displays (I have three independent displays... where it could be nice to have 2 pointers one controlled by the left hand and one controlled by the right hand... wouldn't need it all the time but it sure would help with the multitasking... Windows supports multiple pointing devices. I'm not entirely sure how it behaves in practice, though I believe that there's only one pointer and as you move each device it affects the cursor.

You might find this useful. Or possibly not. Note: anything that involves installing drivers has a higher than normal possibility of trashing your system.

edit: There's an official Microsoft SDK available, but I'm not sure how useful that is to you.
