NWFlyer 2 #29 October 7, 2007 Quote Quote Short hair looks better on women over 40. Well, darn...I guess I'll just look like crap then. You could interpret that two ways... Short hair looks better [than long hair] on women over 40 OR Short hair looks better on women over 40 [than on women under 40] Hey wait. That's insulting to me!"There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. SkydiveStMarys 0 #30 October 7, 2007 I agree. If a woman can pull off a short hair cute, kudos to them. I would never wear my hair short on purpose, I am tall and if I wore my hair short I think it would make me freakishly taller looking.Bobbi A miracle is not defined by an event. I would never wear my hair short on purpose, I am tall and if I wore my hair short I think it would make me freakishly taller looking. Huh??? I think the exact opposite is often true of tall people with short hair. To me, it's the medium to tall women, who usually look great with short hairstyles, and these ladies often don't wear longer hair very well. In any case, the person needs to have a great-looking neck. My mother is petite, but she has a long, graceful neck. (Well, she is 67, so she looks different now, but she is still so classy-looking.) Women who don't have graceful necks and who chop off their hair, sometimes look frumpy to me. That's just my opinion, though. Everyone is on a case-by-case basis. Some women look so much better with shorter hair, but everyone has a different interpretation of beauty. I love that.

Thanatos340 1 #35 October 8, 2007 Can I get an AMEN from the Glory Hallelujah Choir?? Women that have long gorgeous hair and chop it off generally make me very sad (there are a few.... VERY Few that do look good with shorter hair.. I can think of one and only one that I met in my life time that this was true). If you really want a Change, Change the color or Change the style.. but DONT cut it all off.... PLEASE. I am Begging. Help keep the world a more beautiful place.. Shell666 0 #36 October 8, 2007 Quote And after having had both longer and shorter hair, I think shorter hair generally looks better on me. I LOVE the short look on you! It's sassy (just like you!) Like you, I prefer short hair (and those of you that know me know I keep my hair pretty short). I have very curly hair, and like you, it's really fine but there's a lot there. And when it gets long, it gets rather unmanageable. I'd rather have to get it cut every 4 weeks (which I normally do!) than try and keep it neat and nice when it's long. And when I finally cut it 17 years ago, I went from hair that was below my shoulders to hair that was barely below my ears. To each their own. And to the boys ... it's OUR hair ... not yours! sharimcm 0 #39 October 8, 2007 Well, I cut my hair for a good cause. Some kiddos in the world don't even have hair, so I donated it. It's the second donation I've made (both over 12") to LOL, so I know that it grows back. I believe my original donation was made back in 2002. Sure, it takes months and/or years, but I like my new do. But, then again, I now have short hair, and I'm not over 40. VanillaSkyGirl 6 #40 October 8, 2007 My mother was much, much more beautiful than I, when she was young. I don't look as much like her, as like my father, although the older that I get, the more my resemblance to her is evident. (Yet, I did not inherit her sculpted cheekbones and pretty nose.) I would love to be the natural, no-make-up girl like she always was, but I'm not that lucky. I wear make-up. That said, I love that there is diversity with people's looks. That's what makes this world go round. Also, it's great that so many of us would cut off our hair for a good cause, although I might not do it again. (I have too much gray in my temples, which I don't color. Yes, I'm 36.) Cheers to all the women with a heart to make a difference!

pinkfairy 0 #42 October 8, 2007 I think most women look good with short hair too. Including me, IMHO. I like long hair on myself because it's easier to take care of, it doesn't need wax or gel or other goo in it to look good, and it looks good straight out of the helmet. I also happen to pull a lot better with long hair than short. So you're right, men like long hair. Edited to add: I'm not sure about the mop variety. I haven't tested it yet... Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet. I'm a BIG, TOUGH BIGWAY FORMATION SKYDIVER! What are you?

hungarianchick 0 #44 October 8, 2007 Although I'm not gonna let a man tell me what to do or what not to do, I don't think I will ever gonna chop my hair off again. My features are too strong to pull off a pixie cut. I did it a few years ago as a result of a flat ironing gone bad, and my mother barely recognized me after, she also told me not to do that again . No matter how old you get, your mom can ALWAYS tell you what to do. "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."

marks2065 0 #46 October 8, 2007 sounds to me that most men like it long and the chicks like short - so girls if you want to impress a guy keep it long - if you want to impress the girls cut it - i say keep it long and let us enjoy it

I like my hair long. It's thick with lots of body.... but cutting it doesn't change my sense of confidence. It doesn't mean that I become someone different.... I'm mature enough to know that I don't need it. But what if that child does. I like my hair short... not because of how it makes me look, rather because of how it makes me feel. edit to add: Karen (4 time locks of love donor.) and add pictures.
