Who Wants to Loan Me $1.5 Mil so I Can Have My Own Missle Base?

Please? My birthday's coming up ... y'all could take up a collection.

I've seen those on the market quite a few times over the last 10 years. I've always though it would be hilarious to see some survivalist group buy one of those and then get into a standoff with the FBI or BATF. Bet it would be quite different from Waco.:D

Assuming a 7% return, that's just over $100K a year interest - wouldn't you rather have that instead?

I mean, you could have like the biggest trailer at Z-hills, with a diesel Jetta, an annual trip to the mountains and the islands, and a Yorkie named Mr. Sprinkles!

If that's not Heaven-on-Earth, I don't know what is.

yeah! get it! I'm all for it, what a dropzone that would make.... 3-5 second rides to 50,000 ft. wow what a rush, it'd be funner going up then coming back down, now thats a ride...set marshmallows around the rim of the silo...whooohoooo!!!!

Uh.. lets see,, no missles go with the deal.. not that you would really want a stinky ole Titan anyway... the fuel was pretty toxic...

And even though the 949 area code of the broker dude is in CA I will bet you.. its out there in Flyover land... which is a good thing most of this would be underground.. you dont have to worry as much as the yocals about what the next tornado does to your house.

someone had converted one of the silos

I was thinking "Indoor climbing gym" when I read they were 50m high.
As for the mearly 60 acres, that's pretty cool too. I think I would want all the external buildings removed though, and have a drive in garage/lift system.

I'd imagine they'd be pretty hard to burgle too. (Thinking as a South African..;))

Must admit, if I had a cult or was a crime lord, or a terrorist.. it would be high on my buying list. No stinking "they burned themselves to the ground" there... he he..

Actually, it's just on the other side of the mountains, between Moses Lake and Ritzville. How convenient would that be once West Plains moves to Ritzville? :D I first read about it on here and I figure he's got a point ... if I do have 1.5 mil do I really want an overpriced house on Queen Anne? Or my own missle base?!!

It'll be just down the road from the new dz at Ritzville!

I'm sure I'd have plenty of space for wayward skydivers to crash. And if they're obnoxious guests ... into an underground bunker. Without a key.

You could have your own little PCA syatem hooked up on the top and when yu come home from work, you just BASE on home.

Thank God you didn't use wayward skydivers and obnoxious guests in the same sentence. We know that would never happen.

I'd rather have this one as it's already got a runway, hangar, and ready to go as a DZ if the area would support it. If not, just a great fly-in home with a huge underground storage area.

I'm thinking one major wine cellar!:

When I was a kid we sneaked into this site several times. The blast doors are opened about a foot and a half, enough to squeeze through. This site has steel stairs leading from the blast doors in. A hole was knocked out of the top of the dome to remove the generators. It's pretty cool looking up at the stars from inside the dome. Much of the steel was also removed making it easy to fall if your not paying attention when walking around above or below ground. I wouldn't recommend walking around at night without lights....there's huge drop offs in several places. Many of the local Kids (Moses Lake, Warden, Othello, Lind, Ritzville, Odessa) snuck in there when it was government property. It's full of old beer cans & graffiti. There's another site 3 miles south of Warden just past the cemetary. When building the sites they had problems at some with water seaping in. The Warden site is full of water & the blast doors are either fully closed or fully opened making it hard to get in unless you have rappelling equipment. Theres a third site outside of Royal City but I don't know much about that site. The Titan II missiles that went in the sites were obsolete before they even finished building the sites.
