marysha 0 #1 September 3, 2002 Are there any skydivers from Belgium? I´m in Brussels till the end of September and I´d like to jump on the dropzone which is not extremely far from here but the majority of web-sites are in French! Please, if there is a Belgian skydiver, give me some tips on your dropzones!!!???

mccordia 74 #6 September 3, 2002 I believe zwartbergen is the closest DZ to antwerpen. I've never jumped in Belgium, so sadly I don't have any info for you on that subject. Another DZ that's pretty close-by is Skydive Zeeland (just across the border, in Holland), it's a nice DZ with a great view (you can see the north-sea from the sky). I think it's just over an hours drive from Brussel. Their adres is Skydive Zeeland Calandweg 44 Arnemuiden. http://www.skydive-zeeland.nl If you call them at 0031 113 612910 they'll be able to tell you more. Sadly their site is in Dutch, but if you need any info just ask and I'll translate whatever you need. www.av.com also has a nice translator that can translate french sites into english pretty decent. Good luck, hope you can get a few jumps in..JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
wingnut 0 #7 September 4, 2002 you can also try www.skydiveworld.com they have an extensive listing of european drop zones. i was stationed in germany close to the belgium/netherlands/luxembourg and the people i jumped with sometimes went up to spa and also ther is another one just as good and about the same distance but wth a bigger landing area called elsinbourn. i only mad it to brussles once and then it was just to the airport. but both these dz's are located not far off the main highway going south outa brussels..i think it was the E-60.... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"
