Based on the total dollar value of the items in contention, it is expected that the charges will be dropped to a misdemeanor.

Guns, kidnapping (unlawful detainment), and those types of crimes can not, if I understand, be dropped to a misdemeanor. Then, again, I don't know how much justice he is capable of buying this time around, either. My photos My Videos

Then, again, I don't know how much justice he is capable of buying this time around, either. Last time, he had murder reduced to a fine (civil judgement). I wonder what the sentencing guidelines are... "Killing the white chick... that will be $2,000,000, pay the clerk." Besides, that was obviously entrapment. Someone told him where his stuff was. Willie Sullivan was asked why he robbed banks. "Because that is where they keep the money."
jtval 0 #6 September 22, 2007 No. IIRC he didnt have them reduced, he was found innocent on federal court. He could not be tried for the same offense twice so they took him to civil court and got a judgement. I do find it very odd that they have hours of video/audio o the whole "sting." But the word entrapment is only use if a law enforcement agency is involved. SET-UP is what I would call it.My photos My Videos
happythoughts 0 #7 September 22, 2007 Based on my experience with the "legal" system, I am just happy that the outcome didn't mean that I owed OJ money somehow. Lindsey Lohan gets caught DUI with prescription drugs and cocaine in her possession while violating parole. What would happen if we were in similar circumstances? Nicole Richey is on the wrong side of the highway in the emergency lane on another DUI and... 87 minutes in jail (booking time). It is somehow soothing to realize that the justice system is becoming essentially less racist. If you are rich, you are free. Since this is Vegas, find out what the betting line is on his conviction and post it. "Vegas... where you have a 3-1 chance of getting away with it." jtval 0 #8 September 22, 2007 I ALWAYS equate the legal system to Mike tyson. Wierd huh? I know its the boxing commity but its is the same line of thought. It's ok to be convicted of rape. You can still box but you had better not bite someone on the ear. That's taking it too far.My photos My Videos

masterrig 1 #10 September 22, 2007 I was wondering, how long it would take for a 'new' O.J. thread. In his book; "If, I Did It", I think, he just wants to tell the world he did in fact do it. Knowing, good and well, he can't be tried again, for it. I don't believe, there was any 'set-up'. Somebody tipped someone off and they got the recorders going. A big GOTCHA! Couldn't happen to a nicer jerk. Chuck
happythoughts 0 #11 September 22, 2007 If the recording becomes inadmissible in court, then there is no "real" evidence that he was even there. Maybe just the words of a few disreputable people. This is all a conspiracy. The Man is out to get OJ. (I hear that Bill Clinton is going to testify in his behalf. )

kansasskydiver 0 #19 September 23, 2007 There was an HBO special with Dana Carvey some years ago when he was talking about OJ and how it was all just a big conspiracy put together in a dark alley at midnight lol It's funny I'll see if I can find it somewhere online. My favorite part is "You see here Bond, when you pull the lever on this here pen. It magically sprays blood onto the front dash of a white ford bronco"<--- See look, pink dolphins DO exist!
