Old cypres

My cypres has reached its 12 year--I have a friend that's interested in buying it from me for testing purposes, any thoughts on what or IF I should sell it or just give it away? Thoughts???

Until just recently I worked in the parachute testing field and we often used out of date cypress for planned delayed deployment. We would buy them for $80 which is the trade in value I think.

As far as selling it or giving it, that is your call.

I sold my expired Cypress on eBay. Only got $45 for it but that's better than nothin. Didn't do the trade in thing since I decided to buy a Vigil.

If you sell it on eBay, be sure to emphasize the fact that the unit is expired and cannot be used for skydiving.

I'd take something for it. It is worth $80 bucks if you get another one.

One of the guys at my DZ used his for testing too... it was funny as hell.
