Mickochet 0 #27 September 9, 2007 let us know how you like the ducati. I have a 04 R1 and love it but I have 46,000 miles on it and am undecided wether to get a new R1 or a 1098 ducati. If you never fall down you aren't trying hard enough.

skyjumpenfool 2 #29 September 9, 2007 As long as it's red... Nice bike! A lot of jumpers ride. Let's organize a ride from drop zone to drop zone, across the country, making a jump at every dz along the way. You can join in at any dz the tour gets to and quit whenever you've had enough. No interstates! Nothing but twisties. Size, color, or type of bike not an issue. All skyjumpen, bike riding fools welcome. What do you say??? Rainbo 0 #30 September 10, 2007 Sounds kewl, I am kinda biased and like the naked bikes, hence the Speed Triple in the garage. It is basically a touch higher in Hp and torque than the Duc but a touch heavier also. But the Duc is a nice ride, ya outta ride S3 first then decide Rainbo TheSpeedTriple - Speed is everything "Blessed are those who can give without remembering, and take without forgetting." FIREFLYR 0 #31 September 10, 2007 Nice, i've had my '95 900ss for 5 years now...love it! There's nuthin' like a Duc. Becides tires, brakes, and new clutch plates i really haven't had to do any work on it. ~J pic~ http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/ducati_ss_900_c_1995.php"One flew East, and one flew West..............one flew over the cuckoo's nest" "There's absolutely no excuse for the way I'm about to act"
akurtom 0 #32 September 10, 2007 I love my GSX-R1000 2002. It's fast, light and loves to throw herself in the a turn no problem. My favorite right now is the 1098 Ducati S tricolour. It's bad ass. I wish I had the money. Blue Skies
atsaubrey 0 #33 September 10, 2007 I have been a twin fan since I rode my first one. I started with a Suzuki TL1000S, then Ducati 996, then RC51 and I just bought a 2002 Aprilia RSV Mille R. The Aprilia is FANTASTIC! It is like a cross between the Duc and the RC, it has the feel of the Duc but the better power of the RC. God I love the Italians! Gongrats man, I thought about buyning the 1098 but then I thought about how much I ride and the cost involved and it didn't pencil out."GOT LEAD?" MrHixxx 0 #34 September 10, 2007 My first impression after the first weekend with th 1098 is no regrets... There is more grunt and just as much power as the R1s, but the Duc can plant it on the ground better. This bike really sticks it and goes. I feel way more planted in the turns and it hooks up better just getting on it in the flats. If I would have known they handled this well. I would have had a 916 years ago... -Hixxxdeath,as men call him, ends what they call men -but beauty is more now than dying’s when
