Cokie00 0 #1 June 23, 2006 So I was at a new dropzone where there was a asphalt runway which I was not used to. Of course, I overshot the pea pit and hit the runway pretty hard. One of my leg strap protectors is scratched up quite badly. Do I need to replace this or what? *Hope* Living: The only thing worth dying for.
bodypilot1 0 #2 June 23, 2006 Not unless it's cut into the webbing itself. Have a rigger look at it further if you are not sure. Be safe-er Edwww.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
Cokie00 0 #3 June 23, 2006 That's what I thought...(thank god) I looked at the webbing and it looks fine but you know, of course I'll check. I just wanted to brace myself in case I was going to have to shell out massive amounts of money:) *Hope* Living: The only thing worth dying for. councilman24 37 #4 June 23, 2006 In order to be inspected fully the pad may need to be removed, or at least unstitched at one end so it can be pulled back. Ask a rigger and have him do the inspection needed.I'm old for my age. Terry Urban D-8631 FAA DPRE
Cokie00 0 #5 June 23, 2006 So could I buy just a new pad? If so, how much would that run me? *Hope* Living: The only thing worth dying for.

Check the web site for what ever brand it is, they should have a rigging and repair section. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
