Legos are so different now, compared to when I was a kid

Gotta stay politically correct. When I was a kid you could go out and buy bunches of just the blocks. Now you have to pay mega-bucks for the kits and that is basically all you can build till you start adding your mega-buck kits together. At the height of my lego career I had collected 6 KFC buckets full of blocks, bases, doors and windows. That was middle to late 60's. So is the wheel chair dude a kit or did somebody just put him together?

I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.

i grew up in the 70s, the last of 8 kids (yes, my parents are catholic), and the recipient of years of garage sales, rumage sales, and other places to collect legos. my entire bottom drawer of my chest (about 4 ft wide) was full of legos, and we had some buckets of them too. i could build little apartment complexes, and put my hot wheels in the garage. hmmm, strange how i turned out to be a general contractor. i like building with legos better though, no city inspectors! :P

mmm... I used to love playing with legos... (though they are quite painful when stepped on... :$)

I used to build lego cities as a kid... (I was such a dork... still am I suppose :$)

You want to play with some right now, don't you? Admit it.

My kid boxed up a lot of stuff and gave me a box of Legos to throw out. I put them in the closet. He doesn't know. They will come out sometime this winter JUST for fun:)
