eeneR 3 #29 September 2, 2007 Almost all the Northern breed dogs. Husky, Malamutes, Shiba, Akita, keeshound etc. Though most dogs with prick ears I like. Floppy ears just don't do it for me. However having said that, dogs with cropped ears when they should be floppy are ugly. I think those dogs look better with natural ears. But that is just me. I have a Shiba Inu and a Siberian Husky. She is not a "Dumb Blonde" - She is a "Light-Haired Detour Off The Information Superhighway." eeneR TF#72, FB#4130, Incauto
shropshire 0 #30 September 2, 2007 I dont like ear docking. It doesn't lool good to me and I can't see the point [sic]. That said ; Our Dobe was docked (she was 3 when she came to us) but I still need to take a second look when I see one with an un-docked tail.... still looks a little strange. We used to sit a couple of Malies (a male and a female).. She was soft and loveable.. He was an arogant SOB. A show dog and seemed to know it. (.)Y(.) craichead 0 #31 September 2, 2007 My favorite breed is "mutt." Here's my shepherd/doberman mix (so we were told by the Anti-Cruelty Society)... As the Dog Whisperer would say, "a dog is an animal first and a breed second." I train him for the behavior and temperament that I want and ask for on a daily basis. _Pm__ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
skycat 0 #32 September 2, 2007 Mutts are great, my 13 year old is a German Shepherd/Blue Heeler with maybe some Husky. She is absolutely the best dog I have ever had, it's more than well behaved, it's like she naturally knows what humans want. Such as when hiking she would natural get off the trail to let people pass her and she never went to sniff their dogs. Sherpa on the other hand we actually had to train a command to get off the trail and get out of the way.Fly it like you stole it!

artbel 0 #39 September 2, 2007 It's not that much work, as it (the coat) does most off the work itself. Just for estetic reasons it is required to help a little. Washing her is another thing.... after we bathed her (for 3 to 4 hours work) we dry the coat in 2 days time. the floor is clean afterwards though if something is dirty we just cut it off. She has more then hair enough You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.

ladyskydiver 0 #43 September 3, 2007 Mastiffs are gorgeous, aren't they? Here were my babies (Akitas) - http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_attachment;postatt_id=4165;. Goliath was black and white (ain't he cute?) and Angela was red and white (sassy isn't she?). Both of them were lap dogs that didn't realize they had outgrown your lap. Life is short! squirrel 0 #47 September 3, 2007 we have two boxers, and they are our "kids." really amazing how many looks and expressions they can give us. the white one, Spike, is fearless, and would most likey love to skydive, while the fawn, Daisy, is a big baby, and demands lots of love! ________________________________ Where is Darwin when you need him?
