Do any of you ever check the references for articles on Snopes.com, or do you just assume that the articles are true (and therefore the final word on whether a story/urban legend is true or false)?

I do my best to check snopes on any email warnings I send to friends. That was after I had a few replies with a snopes shoot-down.

What I meant is... Do you actually check that what Snopes says is true, or do you just take their word for it?

I always check on Snopes. I wish my email buddies would do the same.

I do take their word for it. After all, that's what they're there for. Their research seems pretty extensive, but of course, nothing is perfect.

always check references... snopes has been incorrect/inaccurate before (although they usually fix it pretty quickly)

I beleive them they have done the work to find the facts, Besides they have been rigth so many time I could acept them geting one wrong every now and then.
