Radiance 0 #1 August 25, 2007 Pardon me for stealing the idea from the women's forum, but I thought it might be nice to make it a bit more global. Who do appreciate here on dz.com? Let's hear about the people you love on dz.com. Has someone gone out of their way to do you a favor? Lend a hand or an ear? Spoken up on your behalf? I know there are a ton of really good hearted people around, and I for one just want to say "Thank You" for the positive energy you create. We should not let our fears hold us back from pursuing our hopes. -- John Fitzgerald Kennedy. ACMESkydiver 0 #14 August 25, 2007 Too many to even begin to mention. AggieDave and Morgan let me hang out at their house in TX...and turtlespeed was my chauffeur for quite a bit of that trip. I met tons of people down in Byron from here...I met Ed down in Lodi who gave me some ideas a few years back on the best way to get Joe back in the sport when he's ready for all that... Mikey -mnealtx- helped a girl out when I was at the end o' my rope. I still remember, thank you buddy. I've gotten sooo many helpful tips and ideas from everyone via PM. ntrprnr helped a bunch when I was trying to run, and about to visit NY. I get great laughs from so many people I can't even start to list. I love everyone that checks in on the weekly fitness quest thread; they encourage me to keep moving forward myself. I like reading the posts from the goofballs on the other side of the water from us. I like trying to decipher WTH they are saying. And sometimes the drama and laughs from this place just keep me from wanting to wander straight into traffic...My brain isn't working right now for names, but there are a bunch of people whose posts I love to read... ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. kbordson 8 #17 August 26, 2007 There are so many people in this community that I like and admire. Friends, role models, just good people.... Its the boldness and the love of life.... The curiosity of the unknown and the teaching/coaching given to those with the questions... The support and comfort when needed. There are many reasons to like such noble spirits. Specifically I have the honor of "knowing": ACME adventurechick (Gail) Aggie Dave Andy Copland Anvil Base689 Beau (ChasingBlueSky) bigway billvon Bolas Broke Calvin19 ccowden cloudseeker2001 Cocheese Dana420247 f1freak frenchy68 (sexy bitch) Gawain (Max) HH (Sangrio) Hipwrddude Icon134 Jenner8er JohnMitchell JohnRich jumpdoc Jumper03 Kallend Katie Katiebear21 Keith (jmpnkramer) lilDevil Lindsey LisaH LMWB Lucky mamajumps Mel (Elsinore Gravity) Michele micro MikeForsythe moodyskydiver Muenkel NightJumper ntrprnr Opie Remster Rkymtnhigh Ron FL (rcjump) Rosa (VanillaSkyGirl) skymama SkyMonkeyOne Skyrad Slappie SniperCJ snowslider squeak StreetScooby SuperKat swedishcelt Taylor610 Thanatos Tonto Turtle usskydiver vortexring warpedskydiver Wild Card wmn999 xenaswampjumper Some I do actually know... others I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting in person... but a wonderfully varied group of people that live LIFE. flygirl1 0 #21 August 26, 2007 There are so many people on here I have wonderful things to say about the list would go on forever.... First I want to thank brianfry713 for always being there for me. He has always been the voice telling me I can do it even though sometime I might dought my self. If it wasn't for his encouragement, countless hours studying with me, riding along in the back of the plane and even coming out just to support me when I did solos I don't think I would be a pilot todayI also want to thank skybytch for all the time she spent with me teaching me about my gear and flying my canopy. feeblemind for always being there to fix me when I break myselfSBS for being a good friend and always finding time to jump with me or any other newbie who needed a jumping buddy. Despite having thousands of jumps, AFF and Tandem ratings and being an awesome free flyer and canopy pilot I have seen him turn down other experienced jumpers countless times to jump with the low timer on the load doing a solo. DFWAJG for making me vegan ice cream(although maybe I should wait to thank her until after I've tried it) There are so many more This post could go on forever Fly like a girl
