Hille80 0 #1 July 4, 2006 Hi there, I'm searching for packvolume details of the Safire2 (139tf²) in relation to the Pilot 132ft². Have demoed a Pilot 150. In my opinion the 150 packs bigger as my Safire2 169ft² (~150jumps on the safire, ~50 on the pilot). Does anyone has exact informations about the packvolume of those two canopies? Don't panic!Planning to downsize soonest in spring'07. Thanks, Alex
phoenixlpr 0 #2 July 4, 2006 If you demod a Pilot 150, why do you plan to take 2 size smaller?

Me Pilot 168 is the same size as my Safire2 169 (not exactly sure down to the cu in), but the brand spanky new Pilot has been THE hardest new ZP canopy I've ever had to pack. Whew, what a demon to get in the bag!!Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

damion75 0 #5 July 4, 2006 From http://www.paragear.com Safire2 139 - 386 Cu In Pilot 132 - 368 Cu In They don't have the pack volumes for all manufacturers, but most of the biggies are there.*************** Not one shred of evidence supports the theory that life is serious - look at the platypus. Thanks, Alex Previously I had a Sabre2 210 and a Sabre2 190 both new and both packing into a new V357 Then I got a Pilot 210 followed by a Pilot 188 both new and both packing into another new V357 I cant speak for the Safire2 but I know for a fact that the Pilots pack bigger and "puffier" than the Sabre2's did. Either that or my second V357 is smaller than my first V357 __ My mighty steed
AllisonH 0 #7 July 5, 2006 I've had both a Safire2 149 and a Pilot 150 in my rig in the past couple of weeks, and the Pilot definitely packed larger. The person I traded canopies with to try the Pilot (which I loved...) noticed the same thing.
johnny1488 1 #8 July 6, 2006 Thats why that thing is so unreliable. The pilot absolutely packs bigger. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" Mike Rome
