Cornholio 0 #1 August 22, 2007 ...Gone...Give or take 1 or 2. But I did get this in return! Isn't she purdy? The wife thinks it's a new baby hauler. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! cocheese 0 #2 August 22, 2007 It's a sweet boogie buggy, but me thinks the wife is going claim it as hers by this weekend. So what are you going to drive now?
Cornholio 0 #3 August 22, 2007 LOL... Actually, your post does have some truth to it. She can't drive her Honda Accord too much longer as she has a hard time getting out of it now with being pregnant and all... So yeah, she will probably be driving it during the winter months. I'm either stuck with her Accord or I gotta get something more comfortable for me - 4 door preferred. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! funjumper101 15 #5 August 22, 2007 Nice 4runner. There aren't a lot of aftermarket parts available here in the USA for that vintage 4runner. What there are come out of Australia. yotatech.com ultimateyota.com pirate4x4.com are good sources of info on maintenance and upgrades. Treat her good and you'll get 250k miles out of her, easy. Enjoy.
Cornholio 0 #6 August 22, 2007 Vintage? It's a 2007 Parts ?? Hopefully I won't need them for many years! I already have my first mod on order - Ipod controller/charger for the HU. Thanks for the links, I've already found lots of info on it already and have done my research for the last 18 months or so. You can read more about my buying experience here: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30199 Dealer dorks are a drag. I am glad that it worked out for you. Stock 4runners are great rides. Aftermarket parts can improve an already great ride. Better shocks. Better springs. Trans cooler. Lift kits. Suspension upgrades. Diff lockers. Sliders. Skid plates. Winches. Bumpers. Marlin Crawler parts. etc, etc. Lots of cool stuff to add to the first three iterations of the 4runner. Not so much for the 4th gen. The FJ Cruiser was in the works and the aftermarket folks knew about it. I am building up a '94 4runner with a 3.4 conversion, 2" lift, 33x10.5 tires, Sonoran Steel IFS Truss, Bilstiens, and sliders. Rear differential locker, skid plates and other suspension mods to follow. I like to play in the dirt, or on the sand. Not wicked wheeling. Just playing around some and going places that ordinary rides can't. Back country camping is way better than camp ground camping. Again, nice 4runner. She should be a great ride for a long time. As long as you take care of her, she'll take care of you. Enjoy, when you are allowed to drive her.
Cornholio 0 #11 August 23, 2007 601 El Camino Real. Yeah in Santa Clara. Come find me. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
Cornholio 0 #12 August 23, 2007 Oh, I see what you mean. Right, the 4th gens don't have much going for them as compared to the first 3 gens. They have not become more of the family car and ride like a car more too. So less mods, I suppose. It makes sense to me that if I was going to spend 35K on a new car I wouldn't trick it out right away. But if I could pick up a 10yr old for 10k or less... sure might be fun to have a project to work on besides skydiving. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah!
