I can see how some of the less imaginative peeps could be confused so I've changed it.

Gone fishing

I can't figure it out-I'll go pick a mess of blackberries and eat them (yes, a mess is an official measurement in the Southern US) but I don't care for pies, preserves, or jams.

We've got them right in the backyard and all along the river. Since different areas, sunny usually, ripen quicker, we've been munching them for almost a month. It's actually been cool and rainy here, time to pick before they get moldy.
