BillyVance 34 #1 August 10, 2007 Took this pic of the thermometer reading, and it was only 11 am! It's now almost 2:30 pm and it's gone up to 104 now. simplyputsi 0 #3 August 10, 2007 Hooray!!! If it's gonna be hot, might as well break some records right??? I don't trust those vehicle thermometers as how can they tell the temp when they have to be located on the car, which is usually warmer than the air depending. They are close enough though, and that one looks to be probably about right. Looking forward to my run later today. Skymama's #2 stalker -

I figured the best time to check was before starting up the engine. I wonder where the sensor is located anyways? billvon 3,069 #5 August 10, 2007 Yep. When we were in Montana, I'd check the weather on occasion and every day I'd see a "new temperature record set for Missoula . . . new record set for July . . ." One reason they're having such a bad fire season I guess.
mouth 0 #6 August 10, 2007 I'm thinking of moving to the desert as it is still 108 here at almost 5pm. I figure AZ at least has less humidity. Oh, and there is no way I'm going back outside to take a pic for ya'll. Just trust me on this on...it's hot as hell -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit. Taylor610 0 #16 August 11, 2007 Man after all day Wed and Thursday (yeah, I ended up spending an extra day in Birmingham) working outside, in the heat, in a trailer and in the middle of a concrete parking lot, well I thought I knew what hot was, but THAT was just plain old hot. Of course, it wasn't nearly as hot as Skymama talking about being soaked and her panties and bra...I really can't believe she wrote that...

Lastchance 0 #22 August 11, 2007 Helena had 24 days in july above 95 and 11 days above 100. The hottest month on record. It has finally cooled down to the 80's and we are actually dropping into the 50's at night. The fires around here are finally being somewhat contained. Today I can actually see the mountains around us clearly for the first time in over three weeks. I have never seen it so smoky around here in my life. I feel like I'm smoking again. The fire seasons around here seem to be getting worse every year. Maybe global warming is real. I may be getting old but I got to see all the cool bands.
