freethefly 6 #7 August 14, 2007 Aprilcat ROCKS She is too cool. I've known her longer than anyone I've known from the internet. I think we go back to 1998."...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
aprilcat 0 #8 August 14, 2007 TY, Lisa...glad you like the prints... Goggles..that was taken in Raeford..on the Otter which shall be nameless. The plane has changed hands a few times and last I heard it was going to NM. One of these days I'm going to get in that plane again. I sent Lisa another shot of that plane while it was in repair and its a tad scary looking inside, the best part I like is the 'emergency exit sign'. What part of a plane is NOT an 'emergency exit??'There were a lot of planes 'parked' at Raeford and what appealed to me was some of them were no bigger than a Hyundai inside. I didn't get to fly in them all but man...there was one I called 'the cigarette' and you could have parked it outside my house. So, anyway, taking pictures of these hardcore guys got me enough guts to take even hardercore pics of people getting married and/or marching in parades. NOW we're talking about getting airsick!~~April Camelot II, the Electric Boogaloo!
LisaH 0 #9 August 14, 2007 the best part I like is the 'emergency exit sign'. I like that's it's sitting up sideways on the bench next to seatbelts. Great shot! Be yourself! MooOOooOoo
aprilcat 0 #10 August 14, 2007 ...as you are MY 'bomb diggity'. Thank you too, Jewels, that shot really makes me believe in the power of just LIGHT...I used an old camera with film and did the whole thing by hand and man...I LOVE that shot. I was just in the right place at the right time. No digital..no light manipulations. Can you imagine if I would have flashed light in that plane and ANYBODY got hurt?...and on that note... hehehe... no skydivers were hurt or injured according to FAA and PETA standards during this filming~~April Camelot II, the Electric Boogaloo! aprilcat 0 #11 August 14, 2007 QuoteAprilcat ROCKS She is too cool. I've known her longer than anyone I've known from the internet. I think we go back to 1998. You rock too..what you fail to mention is that I helped Al Gore invent the internet and thats why I been on it since 1973. I think. I'm in mourning!! I was telling Lisa about going 'digital' and working with a new camera kit and just being kinda upset about letting go of some tried and true methods and she liked the jpeg I sent her so much I just sent her an original print. You and I have talked about the 'speed' of the sport and while you do what you do, I'd NEVER go out with my cameras on me..I may break my cameras!! (yes, I DO see the irony) but I think the sport is more about preparation and introspect, and I hope to show that. Even though I NOW have a camera that can keep up with the speed, I still want to show the thought that goes in before you take the step out. Next stop...riding shotgun in a NASCAR..heheh! PS WE ARE GOING TO GET THAT JUMP IN!!!~~April Camelot II, the Electric Boogaloo!

aprilcat 0 #14 August 14, 2007 Thanks Jaye & Rosa.... I really hope to continue shooting skydivers (not in that sense) but there's some pretty amazing stuff that goes on in the plane that nobody really records. I even got the silly stuff. People doing what they 'do' before the safety checks and all. I think the only emotion I didn't print was 'absolute terror'. I couldn't print those. Maybe I'll do that next go round and title it 'The Crying Game' ~~April Camelot II, the Electric Boogaloo!
