But it seems they can afford to raise that many kids so why should anyone be angry? I wonder how sky-high that woman's chances are of the 'next' one having Down's Syndrome or something else? I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but when you've had disabled kids yourself, pregnancy and childbirth mean something totally different to you, and statistics are always running through your mind when anyone you know is pregnant and you just hope they miss the '1 in __' that you hit. Incidence rate goes up with maternal age...I wonder if these 'baby-machine' type couples consider that at all? Amazingly, they seem to be very healthy, though! -Maybe they have good genetics? Maybe it's a GOOD thing that they are producing more genetically strong people for the next generation? I also wonder if there is some kind of psychological obsession with producing kids over and over, particularly the women in these couples? I don't think I'm trying to say that people with more than 'X' kids are sick somehow, I was just truly interested if there is something that mental health has identified. I can fully admit that I have a degree of unfounded jealousy over someone that can produce countless 'typical' kids when the few that I have are disabled and struggle with life. I've always believed in life not being 'fair' but that each person is handed their own challenge, so I have to be thankful that mine isn't any worse than I can handle. I guess 15 kids is what they can handle, too...~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

Almost reminded me of that Monty Python movie, I think the one called "Life of Brian" with that house full of 20+ kids and the mom's at the kitchen sink and a baby just plops out of her onto the floor! Lol yup it's Life of Brian... But dude, seriously, she's that woman!!! She's like a one woman mission to over populate the world! How the heck do they even begin to afford a family that large? Nope. tbrown 26 #82 August 5, 2007 Quote Disgusting. If you really want that many kids for the sake of having that many kids, fucking adopt! Actually, as a father who got clipped after our second child, I disagree. Paul Ehrlich himself, the original author of Zero Population Growth, in an interview perhaps seventeen years ago ( ??) on NPR explained. He acknowledged that there are some magnificent loving couples capable of raising huge families. While on the other hand there are a great many people who should never have any children at all. It was not his intention, Ehrlich stated, to limit those loving couples capable of giving many children a loving home and family, from doing so. His vision of Zero Population Growth was more of an average, which included discouraging those who didn't want children and those who really should never have any children in the first place. So what would you do with this family ? Force either or both parent to sterilize ? Take away any or all of their children ? Or follow a bigger picture that would "average" them into a ZPG picture with other couples who have two or less children ? I vote for averaging them, with no binding legal consequences. Because even IF they might not be "the best" parents according to God only knows who's standards, we still live in America, and I'll simply be God damned before I allow the state to tell me or anybody else how many children we can have.
