BillyVance 34 #11 August 3, 2007 Quote Quote That is so sad. How do you give quality upbringing to that many children? The older kids just wind up raising the younger ones. We don't know that. I remember a show on Discovery, I think, about a very large family, 10+ children, who were building a new home that was something like 5000 square feet. They were doing almost all the work themselves, including the steel framing, and all the kids pitched in in their own small ways. They have 3 washers and 3 dryers and ran something like 6 loads of clothes every damn day. The parents kept tabs on their children by using the Buddy system, meaning one older child was responsible for a younger one. It was a very well oiled system and all the kids were well behaved, but of course they still get to have fun. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I thought ONE kid was bad enough! SkydiveStMarys 0 #12 August 3, 2007 All I want to know is how can they afford that many kids? How are they going to pay for college? How are they going to pay for their daughters when they decide to get married? When, if ever, do they get a "break" from their kids? I mean I love my kids too, but a "break" from being a parent is nice every now and then. Disgusting? I don't think so. Crazy!!?? Yes! Absolutely! I do agree with the one statement that was posted. How do you give that many kids quality time?? How do you give them quality anything?? I also have to add that she is just an incubator...there is so much more to life then popping out babies every 9 months. Love kids, don't get me wrong, but I think they may have a screw or two loose. I could go on and on...God's will, blah, blah, blah..procreate, blah, blah...but come on for Pete's sake... Her body HAS TO BE screaming...ENOUGH ALREADY!! BobbiA miracle is not defined by an event. jojo69 0 #25 August 3, 2007 From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: James Robert (Jim Bob) Duggar (born 1963), of Tontitown, Arkansas, served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1999 to 2002. Duggar was a candidate for the United States Senate in 2002, but lost to Tim Hutchinson.[1] Duggar sought the Republican nomination to the Arkansas State Senate District 35 seat in Arkansas in 2006,[2] but lost to candidate Bill Pritchard. Duggar is a real estate agent, and owns several commercial properties in his local area.[3] Duggar and his wife Michelle (born 1966) are politically conservative fundamentalist Christians who endorse Quiverfull and the teachings of Bill Gothard. They reportedly live debt free.[4][5] ----------------------------------------- I am very impressed that they are debt-free
