Muenkel 0 #6 July 26, 2007 Max is truly one of my heroes, and I don't say that lightly. It does not surprise me that the Prez took notice when he met him at Walter Reed. _________________________________________ Chris
VanillaSkyGirl 6 #7 July 26, 2007 How wonderful! Along with many others, I admire Max's positive attitude and strong spirit. He most definitely deserves to be thought of as an inspiration to the president and to this country. Congrats, Max!

To recover is one thing, but to lead afterwards is a true measure of who you are as a man, and professional soldier.Too bad GWB won't go jump with youIt isn't everyday the President gets the chance to jump with someone famous. Gawain 0 #15 July 27, 2007 Quote I think it is! It's pretty cool to pick up the newspaper and see one of your friends on the front page (in a good way!). Tell us about your experience with the Prez! Thanks very much!! It was an amazing experience, and naturally, I will remember it. They really took care of us and the best part was the amount of time the President spent with us before, during and after the run. He greeted us for about 20 minutes in the Oval Office, Neil and I spent another 20 minutes on the South Lawn where we ran, and then the President took us to the Presidential Pool with our guests, six of us in all, where we then sat back an relaxed and chatted with the CiC for another hour-and-fifteen minutes. Totally awesome. All that was on top of a detailed tour, and lunch with the White House Military Liaison Office, etc. What a day! So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light!
