RkyMtnHigh 0 #1 July 27, 2007 IF..big IF... IF I serve it to guests...should I pour it into a decanter or carafe so it looks fancier than $2.49? or say awww fk it and pour straight from the bottle? Does anyone know that the Two Buck Chuck got 98 ratings at the last California Wine Tasting Contest??..over 350 other wines?...it was a blind taste testing and it did really well... _________________________________________
d_squared431 0 #2 July 27, 2007 The best way to serve two buck chuck is after a few bottles of the good stuff has been served. No one will really care after they have had a few other drinks if you serve it in the bottle or carafe.TPM Sister#130ONTIG#1 I love vodka.I love vodka cause it rhymes with Tuaca~LisaH You having a clean thought is like billyvance having a clean post.iluvtofly
Phillbo 11 #3 July 27, 2007 Grow some cajones and serve it in the original bottle ... It's not bad stuff.
vskydiver 0 #4 July 27, 2007 It is good stuff and it's a conversation starter as well. You bring out the 2 buck chuck and everyone starts talking about it. Serve it right from the bottle.

I heard about that this last week.....It is the Chardonnay and when I went to get some, it was on back order. They said since that came out it had been flying off the shelves and they hadn't been able to keep it in stock.DPH # 2 "I am not sure what you are suppose to do with that, but I don't think it is suppose to flop around like that." ~Skootz~ I have a strong regard for the rules.......doc! Hell yeah. That's why I love you so much. If company doesn't like 2 buck Chuck, they should have brought some better wine.
vskydiver 0 #7 July 27, 2007 Heck yeah! That is totally what I think too. Plus there is an interesting story behind the 2 buck chuck and why it is only 2 bucks. It's not like you are serving your guests bad wine. It's good stuff at an incredibly good price. Enjoy it!

skymama 37 #10 July 27, 2007 Where do you buy it here in the south? I haven't found it anywhere. I'm all about cheap wine! I buy the Tisdale wine that Bethany recommended but it's $3.50. monkycndo 0 #12 July 27, 2007 2BC can be from great to nasty. If you plan on serving it to friends, buy two bottles and sample one before the guests arrive. If it good, serve it. If not, no embarrassment for serving a bad, cheap bottle of wine.50 donations so far. Give it a try. tigra 0 #16 July 27, 2007 Decant it because it will taste better that way. Its not the best wine, but decanting it helps a lot. (serving it slightly chilled helps too) If your guests want better wine, they can bring it themselves. That's one reason I bring wine to gatherings and dinner parties. ChasingBlueSky 0 #17 July 27, 2007 Never server it as the first bottle of the night. Also, as someone else said - sometimes you get a bottle that isn't as great. Andrea - I think you can mail order it from Traders website. I don't know how true this is, but I've been told the wine is the same grapes that Franzia uses, just without all the excess sugar._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... monkycndo 0 #19 July 27, 2007 2BC would buy grapes from where ever they could get them. Then blend them to get as close to their "standard". Sometimes it came out as swill. Other times an award winner. I now someone who would go in and buy a bottle and try it in the parking lot. If it was good, would buy a couple cases. If it was bad, poured it out right there. He loves to bring a bottle to a party and have people turn up their nose, only to have a very nice glass of wine poured for them.
