JVig 0 #3 July 24, 2007 Well hon. Here I was, @ at DZ that has had NOTHING but fatalities and injuries for the last few years that has a left handed landing pattern. I was loosing allitude big time on a no wind day, and I should have done a right hand pattern (would have costed me less allitude loss) but not to piss the SNTA off, i decided otherwise, and found my only out in the PEAS.... I landed, my foot dug in, and my body continued on.....it was a no wind landing,....lesson learned NEVER SECOND GUESS YOUR INTUITION!!!! -------------------------------------------------- Just remember.....if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off. JVig 0 #5 July 24, 2007 oh yes! AND amen also, I will never land in, eat , or take a (esp quartz) pea again. cjsgrlsx3 0 #7 July 24, 2007 For a second I looked at the title of this thread and thought it said Rubber Band and Balls!
pinkfairy 0 #8 July 24, 2007 Well, they're easiest to make with broad rubber bands, like the ones you use when you put your parachute in it's bag. Start with one, do a double wrap of a second one around that, and then continue. The ball you get in the end will be quite bouncy and fun to play with, especially if you have the use of both your legs. Oh, and if you get injured while skydiving, it's important to know how and why it happened. It will help you prevent similar things in the future, and it will make you feel better once you're in the air again. I broke my leg some weeks ago, and that wasn't because of the wind, the direction of the pattern, my parachute, or the terrain. It was because I went on a load I shouldn't have been on, even if I knew it was a stupid idea. But that was me. You may have been injured for completely different reasons. Try to think it through, and maybe get someone to help you. I hope you don't have too much problems with pain and swelling, and get well soon! Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet. I'm a BIG, TOUGH BIGWAY FORMATION SKYDIVER! What are you?
JVig 0 #9 July 24, 2007 Oh it was DEFINATELY operator error! I completely am to blame. Those were some of the factors i was in also. Thank you for the instructions -------------------------------------------------- Just remember.....if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off. JVig 0 #10 July 24, 2007 a no wind day AND was losing altitude fast. Sorry if i made it sound like one was related to the other.I had to travel further to comply with the left handed pattern. It was all operator error. -------------------------------------------------- Just remember.....if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

To start I use the broader ones, but once it gets some volume to it, you can use the thinner ones as well. And, I like playing with balls and rubber.. I mean, rubber balls... OK, OK.. rubber band balls. They put him a ward in the hospital We brought him little parachute guys and rubber band powered airplanes, etc all the stuff you could only use once. also a jump rope and skate board. The nurses got pissed when we had him jump roping with a body cast and wouldnt put him back on the bed after he fell.Sure wouldnt be me causing any trouble
