Why would a tire company want to advertise that "hey look, these tires will slip and slide all over the place!"
Sure, the drive knew what he/she was doing, but on a slick road, or slightly wet/snowy/icy road, do you really want tires that can do that????

I know... call me crazy!!! :S:S:S:S:S

All tires will slip and slide. Not all will leave you with a level of control, while slipping and sliding.

It wasn't that large of a hanger. Look at the wheels, even with liberal use of the hand brake they are spinning fairly fast the whole time. I'll bet that it was doing 35 mph or better during the whole time. I'd love to see you take your car and run it at the same speed and not hit the hanger wall ;)

What is more impressive to me then just the lead car making the run is that it has a chase car and its maintaining perfect rythm with the lead car. Very tight and controlled driving there.

Bingo. It's a continuous shot. That's hard to do.

Maybe it was a motorcycle? Or an ATV, or a golf cart, but I sort of doubt it was another fullsize car.

that's like saying that all airplanes land.... some just don't land successfully.....
just my $.02

That's true... and showing an airplane landing successfully (in adverse conditions) is a pretty good endorsement for that airplane.

Just like showing a tire maintaining control (in adverse conditions, where many other tires would lose control) is a pretty good endorsement for that tire.

Its something fairly large since you can see the sway in it when the Charger swings around at the end and the chase car stops.

Watching some of the drifters in action its plausable that it was another drifter. Those guys think its normal to run 3 feet away from each other as thy throw the car 180 degrees around all the time.:S

Probably a Turbo charged VW Beetle with a "Russian Arm" mounted on the roof. Great toys for these kind of shots.
There is definitely a crane, and a stabilized head. The chase car is probably not going that fast, but driving in a smaller circle inside the arch of the hero car. Crane arm and stab head are then doing the work, making it look like the chase car is right behind the lead car.
