Squeak 17 #1 July 27, 2006 Which Containers will accpet a 230ish Reverve and a 190 Main. From their site it does not look as though RWS Vectors will. The main tray will need to be for a 190down to a 170, not 190 -210. and the Harness will need to suit a smallish frame girl about 5'9" tall So given the large canopies and small harness sizing, which containers lend themselves better to this combination? You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! MB38 0 #2 July 27, 2006 Are you going to be buying a new rig [read: having it custom sized] or are you looking for standard measurements for used rigs?I really don't know what I'm talking about.
Squeak 17 #3 July 27, 2006 given the nature of the post, it's NEW container harness systemYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
mjosparky 4 #4 July 27, 2006 I know that this is tired over used answer but with the less than mainstream configuration I would make a list of the containers that interest you. Get a pocket full of quarters and go to the local pay phone and start calling. Pick some time mid morning; their time, and step-by-step explain what you are looking for. After the first contact calls you should have a pretty good idea who is will to work with you.My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
Slurp56 0 #5 July 27, 2006 Velocity Sports Equipment makes containers in that configuration. They make a container that accepts a 218-228 Reserve and 170-190 Main.________________________________________ I have proof-read this post 500 times, but I guarantee you'll still manage to find a flaw. meatbomb 0 #6 July 27, 2006 My first rig was a Talon with a Sabre 190 and a Laser-7 Reserve (227sqft). I then had a Teardrop SF with a Tempo 210 and the Sabre, but also fit a Crossfire2-169 in it, no problems.--- Swoopert, CS-Aiiiiiii! Piccies
idlewild70 0 #7 July 27, 2006 I am pretty sure that wings will do a setup like that. From the website : "We can accommodate just about any combination of canopies possible. Do you want a 200 square foot reserve and a 109 square foot main? Not a problem! We can build a Wings or Wings EXT that will be perfect for you and your canopies! koppel 4 #8 July 27, 2006 one of the containers that I regularly pack the reserve on is a Racer built originally for a 150 main and a 249 reserve. The container was recently sent back to Jump Shack to be resized to take a 170 main and now instead of a 249 reserve he uses a 190. Nancy said to make it a real 'fluffy' pack to fill it out but I cant get rid of all the bloody creases in it of course thats not Jump Shacks fault as it wasnt made for that small reserveI like my canopy... ...it lets me down. hookitt 1 #9 July 27, 2006 QuoteNancy said to make it a real 'fluffy' pack to fill it out but I cant get rid of all the bloody creases in it That's one of the dumbest things I've heard. That means... if you have a neat and tidy pack job, forget about it. Crumple the hell out of the canopy to take up more space. Wrinkled up reserve canopies are a pain to deal with. Pack the way you pack, If it doesn't fit in the container properly, it may be wise not to pack it.My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... My Vector V357 has a PD-218 in it. I agree with Hookit, that does not make sense. It seems like sort of a flip response to a question regarding a reserve. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
