monkycndo 0 #1 July 11, 2007 Got some new foot covers. Chicks aren't the only ones that like a new pair of shoes. The new work boots I ordered just got delivered. Put them on and they are just as comfortable as my old pair with the soles almost worn through. This is the third pair of the same model Wolverine Durashocks I've had in the last 4 years. I'm on my feet all day and they don't get tired. I've owned many a pair of boots and these are oh so comfortable. And got them for about 30% off retail with no tax and free shipping. GogglesnTeeth 6 #3 July 11, 2007 Why would you replace the old boots? Already broken in?? Fit comfortably?? No worries about getting them scuffed or dirty??? But who am I to talk, I'll wear the same sneakers for as long as possible, or until someone else buys me new ones!!! Goggles and Teeth "You fall like a greased safe!!!" monkycndo 0 #4 July 11, 2007 I wear shoes until they are falling apart. My job has stairs with really course treads that finally wore out the soles of my trusted old boots. Besides, 2 years on a pair of boots working in the construction industry is pretty good.50 donations so far. Give it a try. Cornholio 0 #8 July 12, 2007 I used to buy my Wolverines from Red Wings years ago when I was a driver and worked outside. I'll agree they were the most comfortable boot ever. I think they ran about 150-200, but that was about 10 years ago. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! aprilcat 0 #9 July 12, 2007 Why would you replace the old boots? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My guess is Arch Support..you forget how good new ones feel after you broke in the old ones. What feels more comfortable than going barefoot? Boots that are broken in, but they aren't the best thing for your feet! I wouldn't throw those old ones out. squirrel 0 #11 July 12, 2007 I found their site online...but do you know any major chain stores in the west that carry them...i have been looking for a new pair of boots and cant seem to find a comfortable pair. i am a odd size, only 7.5 shoe size, so it is really important that i actually try them on before i order. hell, i sometimes order womens sizes due to my small feet! thanks ________________________________ Where is Darwin when you need him? monkycndo 0 #12 July 12, 2007 I just googled the model number and found the cheapest online store with free shipping and no tax. Specialty Tool USA was the lowest by a few bucks. There were 4 others within a couple of bucks. List from Wolverines was about $156 plus shipping. I got them for $116. And April, no way am I throwing the old pair away. I'm throwing away my even older pair that are really beat to shit and these less beat to shit but fully usable ones get put away for those dirty jobs.50 donations so far. Give it a try. porpoishead 8 #13 July 12, 2007 yeah, right. all I wear is wolverines. I've been wearing the durashocks, little different than monkeys for the past 4-5years. cheapest I ever got em was $130. about $150 is normal only problems with the durashocks is the gel inserts the put inside, after a couple months they start to kinda bunch up around the front, kinda feels like you got something inside your boot. but replace those out with some new ones and the boots are good to go till the soles are gone. the durashocks last me a little over a year, other wolverine models maybe a little longer working offshore walking on grating, griptape, hot welds/slag, saltwater, you name it. my feet always dry and comfortable. wolverines are the best boots money can buy IMHO dude posted his wolverines on dz.com what a fucking freak if you want a friend feed any animal Perry Farrell

Heard this story from a ski-shop boot-fitter who worked at a large ski area: Chick came in off the slopes complaining about getting terrible cramping in the toes of one foot. He asked her to take off the boot so he could check it out. He reached into the boot...felt around a moment...and pulled out a dead mouse."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. He loves them for the safety toe, they are snug around the ankle, plus the kick off feature. I know what it feels like to have a piece of red hot welding slag get stuck in your lace up boot. That kick off feature would have been wonderful.50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity

monkycndo 0 #19 July 12, 2007 Dude, we switched locals. I'm currently in the bay area. I left in the mid '80s. Have only visited a few times since. Grown? And I remember before there was a mall, no high school in your town(they went to Victor) and only one stop light on Hesperia Rd.
