flygirl1 0 #1 July 10, 2007 brianfry713 and I are thinking about taking a trip down to Australia and New Zealand in January. So far I'm planning on spending a few days on the Great barrier reef, a few days in Sidney, a few days in northern New Zealand maybe Auckland and a few days in southern New Zealand. I'm just starting to plan this so any suggestions would be appreciated. ThanksFly like a girl
Squeak 17 #2 July 10, 2007 a few days anywhere in OZ or NZ will be too shortYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
flygirl1 0 #3 July 10, 2007 I know, I'm not sure exactly how much time I'll have there yet but, what ever it is I'm sure it will be too short. I've heard great things about both countries. I have a friend who went to New Zealand for a visit and moved there the month after she came back home.Fly like a girl

bob.dino 1 #5 July 10, 2007 Take a tour out of Cairns to see the Great Barrier Reef. Sydney is better done on your own rather than as part of an organized group (come say hi while you're here). Much more fun to just wander 'round and see places. NZ I can't help with. http://www.tourismaustralia.com can help plan the Reef expedition.
skybytch 273 #6 July 10, 2007 Don't forget to put Queenstown on your list. There's some skydivers from Davis who spend every winter there.

Glenorchy is just up the road and has some beautiful horseback riding trails, Lake Wakatipu is right there in Queenstown with plenty of tours and Lake Te Anau is about 1-2 hours away. The glow worm caves are spectacular at Te Anau, plus the Fiordlands National Park has a beautiful hiking trail. I agree that a few days isn't enough to spend in either AU or NZ.Kevin - Sonic Beef #5 - OrFun #28 "I never take myself too seriously, 'cuz everybody know fat birds don't fly." - FLC Online communities: proof that people never mature much past high school. bigway 4 #9 July 10, 2007 Seriously, if you only have a few days do not even waste one hour in auckland. I am from auckland and there is nothing there, just another tiny city with massive suburbs. Get straight down to queenstown and go to the exact places that mcduck has suggested. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
